Over 100 Bulgarians stood behind the cause of building a Bulgarian church "St. John of Rila" in London during a charity evening at the Embassy of Bulgaria in the English capital, organized by Val clinic. The event was held on February 14th with the support of the Bulgarian ambassador Marin Raykov, who was also a special guest of the evening.

On 8th of July 2023 the Head of the Consular service of the Republic of Bulgaria in London, Nikolay Vanchev, inaugurated Val Clinic as the newest Bulgarian clinic in the English capital. The consecration was performed by Father Dobromir from the Bulgarian church 'St. Ivan Rilski' in London. The ceremony was attended by patients, doctors, businessmen, and diplomats.
“The opening of this clinic is the visible manifestation of this part of the Bulgarian community, which actively contributes to the establishment of Bulgaria's reputation in the United Kingdom, by assisting in the development of the British economy and cultural diversity. It is a part of all EU citizens who, after Brexit, decided to find their happiness and life on the territory of the United Kingdom. In this regard, it is worth noting that as of March 31, 2023, we have 324,000 Bulgarian citizens who have obtained temporary or permanent residence status in the UK, according to Home Office statistics, indicating their connection to the British state. The opening of the clinic is indicative that this wonderful group of Bulgarian individuals is achieving progress and growth in an organizational context, contributing to the establishment of Bulgarian centers. Moreover, it further demonstrates the level of Bulgarian medicine, Bulgarian medical education, and Bulgarian doctors," said Nikolay Vanchev, the head of the consular service of the Republic of Bulgaria in London, after cutting the ribbon at VAL CLINIC, according to BG BEN.
