I first met Dr Val during my appointment for a deviated Septum of my nose. Dr Val listened with understanding, compassion and swiftly recognised the problem and my associated symptoms. I was referred to Doctor Val recently after 2 years of hounding/complaining my local GP's of debilitating ear problems. I was seen by a 'so called' specialist at another hospital last year and was told there was nothing he could do for me. He advised to use steam daily and nasal sprays. I continued to complain of my ear problem as my condition exacerbated and I became more & more distressed. One GP finally listened after 24 months of sleepless nights, a feeling of fullness in my ear, chronic headaches & pressure in my head & tinitus. Alas...I was referred to this wonderful caring, compassionate lady, who has shown more understanding, who is trying absolutely everything to help/ support me and who has diagnosed me with menieres disease. I have never felt so 'listened to' by any Doctor. There is none of the usual, 'stop reading stuff' rubbish, no patronising, no intimidating and no 'brushing you off' as a nuisance. This lady is like gold dust! She expresses love, care and understanding and is extremely thorough in her quest to diagnose accurately. I look forward to my visits to hospital to see her, update her on symptoms and follow her advise accordingly. You are simply the best Doctor Val

Thank you so much for being able to remove the tooth from my daughters ear. It's been a horrible couple of days with 2 already failed attempts, and I didnt want her going to theatre. I know she wasn't best pleased, but as her mum I felt confident whilst she was in your care, and im grateful we have avoided surgery. Thanks again.

She came to And E to see me even though it was after the end of a long day in the ENT clinic She was instantly in control of the situation so I totally trusted her and the treatment she was about to administer. She explained things clearly, answered all questions and gave me confidence that she could sort out the problem I had. The treatment was quick and she made it painless. She was chatty and bright throughout. She followed up with lots of clear advice for after care, all of which made sense. I had been told I might be taken to Grimsby and admitted overnight. She made alternative arrangements which meant I could go home, at which I was extremely relieved. I feel very lucky to have been treated by dr Val and would like my message and grateful thanks to be passed on to her.

Wonderful Doctor and fantastic with young kids. My son had a polystyrene ball stuck firmly in his ear he was very scared. She was an amazing doctor who was very good with children, excellent at reassuring him and patient. The ball although very firmly stuck did come out and my son was very happy thank you so much x

I had already seen one specialist for my ear problems but felt I wasn’t helped at all. On my second visit I had this lovely lady, she told me exactly what was wrong gave me the right prescriptions I needed and within a week of being in a lot of pain and not being able to hear I was sorted, I couldn’t thank her enough for all her help......I always ask if I’m able to see this doctor now every time I go

The best experience I have had at this hospital Dr Val is outstanding in very aspect. It was like meeting an old friend who also happened to be an expert in her medical field. Everything was explained, the procedure seemed effortless and the outcome perfect. I have a follow up in 6 months - can’t wait to meet this talented and beautiful medical professional again

Slightly delayed but .. I would like to express my admiration for Dr. Val’s utmost professionalism which I was lucky to benefit from a few months ago. Dr Val rescued my hearing, which had been lost (fortunately, only temporarily)! Back then, she responded as soon as it was possible for her (which meant extra working time for the day) and I received extremely professional care just when I needed it (as it was an emergency case). I was truly impressed with the detailed check she performed (for nearly an hour) on me and the fact that she measured my body temperature and my blood pressure, both in three different ways. I felt that I received the best possible medical treatment – it was amazing service which is not often witnessed these days! I have always been very satisfied with the attention that I received, although Dr Val is usually extremely busy! She always communicates with me with a friendly attitude and provides really warm care. Every time I’ve met her (including the follow-ups afterwards) I was met with her smile and she has made my visits as comfortable as possible. I also highly appreciate the fact that Dr. Val always gives detailed explanations as to how to take the prescribed medicines. THANK YOU VERY MUCH, Dr. Val!!!
