Our Ultrasound Diagnostic Services
Val Clinic offers a variety of ultrasound services for a wide range of medical conditions, including:
- Abdominal Scan: An abdominal scan is a medical imaging test used to create pictures of the organs and structures within your abdomen. It helps doctors assess these areas and diagnose various conditions.
- Artery Doppler Scan: It is a non-invasive ultrasound test that uses sound waves to evaluate blood flow through your arteries. It can help detect narrowed or blocked arteries, blood clots, and other blood flow abnormalities in various parts of your body, such as your arms, legs, and neck.
- Thyroid Scan: A thyroid scan is a specialized imaging test used to examine your thyroid gland, which is located in the front of your neck and controls your metabolism.
- Pelvic Scan: It is an ultrasound technique to visualize the organs and structures within the pelvic region. For women, this includes the uterus, ovaries, and bladder. The scan helps diagnose a range of conditions, such as pelvic pain, abnormal bleeding, masses, or other abnormalities affecting these organs.
- Pelvis/Testicular scan: Here we offer an ultrasound examination used to evaluate the male pelvic region, specifically focusing on the scrotum and testicles. It's a non-invasive procedure using sound waves to create real-time images of these structures.
- Neck Ultrasound: A Neck Ultrasound uses sound waves to create images of your thyroid gland, salivary glands, soft tissues, and lymph nodes in your neck. It helps doctors identify abnormalities like nodules, swelling, or signs of infection and other conditions in these structures.
- Soft Tissue Scan: A Soft Tissue Scan is an imaging technique, most commonly ultrasound, used to visualize muscles, tendons, ligaments, fat, and other soft structures in a specific area of the body. 1 It helps identify injuries, masses, fluid collections, or other abnormalities within these tissues.
- Breast Scan(Bilateral): A Bilateral Breast Scan typically refers to an ultrasound examination of both breasts. It's a non-invasive procedure using sound waves to create images of the breast tissue. This helps in evaluating lumps, pain, or changes in both breasts, distinguishing between cysts and solid masses, and investigating other abnormalities. It's often used as a follow-up to a mammogram or for women with dense breast tissue.
